After a long and impatient wait we could pick up our new asset: Elmo du Domaine Saint Hubert. We hope that this gourgeous fellow will give a boost to the future of our wirehairs. Congratulations Leslie! sunday november 29 2009 Today was an exhausting and exiting day; the biggest show of the Netherlands: the Amsterdam Winner. This result will be a nice motivation for Hilde & Bart (the owners of Indy) to make Indy a topdog. friday november 13 2009 Today Dinky was mated with Ludas. When we heared last week that Fara would be having puppies, and Dinky was in heath, we had to make a decision quickly. So we did; Dinky will have one last litter around january 15 2010. thursday november 5 2009 Great was our disappointment when the ultrasound showed that once again Fara isn't expecting... We decided to try one more time to breed whith Fara, but this time under supervision of a specialist in fertility This would be around spring 2010. tuesday october 7 2009 Today Fara was mated with Ludas. If all goes well we will have a litter of wired haires around december 10. sunday september 6 2009 Dio gained another title today! He became Luxemburg champion (after he already was Dutch champion). thursday august 6 2009 Selma gave birth to a big litter tonight as was predicted. 9 bitches are enjoying their milk here. They still love each other a lot en will hopefully get a lot of beautiful babies on august 9. thursday may 28 2009 Today we took Kurca to the vet for an ultrasound, and he could confirm our suspicions: at the end of july Kurca's puppies will be born. We are looking forward to it! monday may 25 2009 Selma is in heat! We expect her to be mated by Dio on june 7. The puppies will then be born on august 9. wednesday may 13 2009 Early this year we already experienced what it means to lose something precious. Today we have lost the most precious thing anyone can lose: Marcelina Dehaes (mama of Rudy). She couldn't fight her disease any longer... We are convinced that she now has found the heavenly peace that she deserves. We won't get over this for a long time to come... saturday april 25 2009 We made it our habit to visit the International Dogshow of Goes (the Netherlands). More on her can be seen soon on this website. Luckaly we still had a vacant place in our car for Pitypang Kurca. She joined us unexpectedly to Belgium. We haven't regretted it for a second, because she can be a very important upgrade for our kennel. saturday february 7 2009 International Championship Dogshow Eindhoven: the first one in a long time would also have been Pompas' first show. We went with mixed feelings, but all in all it became a nice day and we can't complain about the results either: - 'Quatro of Skyrocket': 2EX in shorthair dogs open class - 'Nagyszögi - Tarsoly Dió': 1EX in shorthair youth dogs, CAC - CACIB and BOB! wednesday february 4 2009 New huntingcourse starts on sunday february 8 2009! More info: 0486/ 871 874 thursday january 15 2009 As if the loss of Pogo wasn't bad enough! Today a real tragedy took place: 3 of our dogs were poisoned in their kennel. The amount of poison was so great, that the only possible explanation is that someone did it deliberatly. It is very unlikely that we will ever know who is the guilty coward of this terrible act. The 3 victims were Quatro, Belle and Pompas. Quatro is the only one who survived the drama thanks to a bloodtransfusion from Dio. This sorrow will last a very long time... 'in memoriam' saturday january 10 2009 Today is a black day in the history of the 'Alfa Pogo kennel'... Our first Vizsla 'Pogo' (Pouppée du Causse Diège) - after whom our kennel is named - has passed away. Read more on the subject on the 'in memoriam'-page. She will never be forgotten... wednesday october 15 2008 This time no announcement of the birth of an 'Alfa Pogo', but of a real 'Everaerts'! Long expected he finally came to fulfill our dream:our son 'Bob' was born today, healthy and cute as can be! This is the reason of the long period of inactivity with the dogs. We expected a bit more hence the gourgeous offspring our eldest wire already had (it was a shame that we could confirm from this litter that the longhaired Vizsla actually exists). With this they have proven that they have a good hunters instinct, something we obviously already knew for a long time! sunday april 13 2008 Congratulations to Ilse Coeckelbergh for the result she obtained with 'Alfa Pogo Fitos' at the International Dogshow in Antwerp (Brabo). Once again a rewarding day. saturday march 29 2008 We haven't left Luxemburg emptyhanded today. Quatro became 2nd in dogs intermediar class, got an exellent and the reserve CACL. As of today, we can call our wirehaired bitch Alfa Pogo Fara Luxemburg Champion, because she became 1st EX in bitches intermediar class and thus got the CACL and CACIB. monday march 24 2008 Update: - pictures last walk Tuilt (Hasselt) - anouncement new walks - wirehaired puppies expected out of Alfa Pogo Fara sunday february 10 2008 The puppies we expected from Ebbe have been born today, but not without difficulties... After the birth of 1 male at midnight, nothing further happened. The vet saw no other option than a cesarean section. After a serious operation we had a total of 4 puppies; 2 boys and 2 girls. Unfortunately we then lost one of the males after 3 days... This was Ebbe's first and immediatly last litter, because we don't want to put her through this another time. We thus decided on sterilisation during the operation. Ebbe and her kids are doing just fine at this moment. She now has her first point for becoming Dutch Champion! - 'Quatro of Skyrocket': 1VP shorthair puppy dogs, best shorthaire puppy and yes, he really is on a winning streak.... Again placed in the ring of honour: 2nd out of at least 40 pups! saturday june 30 2007 At the 'Régionale d'Elevage' of the 'Vizslaclub de France' in Wallincourt we participated with 4 of our dogs for the TAN: - 'Ebbe': Regretfully Ebbe did not show here what she is capable of. Her past did more damage than we could ever have expected. In the fields that she knows around our house, she hunts like the best; but on unknown territory she doesn't take any distance and is always looking for support from her master. - 'Quatro of Skyrocket': The judge spoke with lots of praise about him and even called him a 'champion in the making' ! But he is still a little bit too young in his head (read: too playful) to point steadily. - 'Alfa Pogo Fara': Also got praised by the judge for her passion, speed and good nose; but she too is still a little bit too young to hunt systemathicly. - 'Pitypang Selma': She proved that we got her for the right reasons. At the age of merely 6 months she aquired her TAN!! Although only 1 out of 4 succeeded in getting the TAN, this still was a great day for us. 'Zia' also won the CAC - CACIB. sunday february 18 2007 Today 'Becky du Sart la Marlette' gave birth to only 1 pup (a boy). A big disapointment to the many candidates that were on our reservationlist. The one boy: 'Alfa Pogo George' will be able to have a show- and huntingcareer with his new owners (Mr. en Mevr.
